The Fountain Head Pub, Brighton

The Fountain Head is a great little lunch spot in Brighton and the staff are super-friendly. It has all the usual pub favorites: fish & chips, burgers, sausage & mash and steak. The snack menu is pretty affordable too – with snacks priced between £2.95 and £5.95.

These chicken skewers pictured are from the 2014 summer menu.

Unfortunately, the autumn menu isn’t that exciting for veggies. Halloumi seems to be in almost every dish. Here are the current veggie options:

  • Halloumi, red pepper, rocket and house relish sandwich
  • Southern fried halloumi, red pepper, chilli cheese, rocket and house relish veggie burger
  • Beer battered halloumi, hand cut chips, rocket and house relish
  • Aubergine and mozzarella bake with rocket and parmesan

Luckily there is a daily specials board which usually has something enticing on it.
