I’m always on the hunt for pubs that produce a decent roast and today I’ve discovered a real good ‘un. I was looking for a spot of brunch, but being almost midday and Father’s Day, I wasn’t having much luck finding a free table anywhere. As I strolled through Seven Dials I came across The Cow with several tables outside the front and in a right little sun trap.
Although all the tables inside were earmarked for dads and their kids, the outside tables were free for walk-ins like me.
What turned up made my jaw drop. The Yorkshire Pudding was a beast of a thing and balanced precariously on top of a stack of tender roast beef, al dente broccoli & carrots, dark greens, fluffy roast tats and a pool of gravy. It was by all accounts the perfect roast.
What’s more, the service was top notch. Speedy, friendly and intuitive.
