Brighton Seafront

  • If you’re new to Brighton and looking to make friends or perhaps meet someone special, supper clubs should be on your to-do list. There are usually several happening each week in the city (check out Tabl.com for a list of them) and the organisers don’t tack on a single person supplement because they are designed as social dining events where you often share a table or course with other diners.

  • Experience has taught me that a restaurant attached to a tourist attraction isn’t usually going to set the culinary world alight. So when I heard The Belle Vue would be using ingredients “sourced from within sight of the tower” and the menu would be designed by MasterChef Professionals winner Steven Edwards, I thought my preconceptions may be wrong this time.

  • The Salt Room does the classic dishes to perfection, I couldn’t falter the steak, lobster and mussels. However, some of the quirkier dishes (lardo and seaweed salad) didn’t hit the mark for me or Nan. Stick to the classics and you won’t be disappointed with your meal.
